"Last Lecture" Presentation

So tonight I went to this "last lecture" presentation that school holds to kind of help everyone graduating reflect on their years here at Guelph and where we are heading next! I left around 5:15, because they said it was gonna fill up quickly and it started at 6pm, so it took me about 15 mins to get there, and it was already half full to my surprise, but it was alright I still got a great seat, except these 5 big guys sat infront of me, so I kinda had some trouble seeing, but it was alright, I just kept moving around heh!

All of the speakers were great, first was one of our drama profs, who did the screen play of the movie Lost and Delirious, some of you might have seen it (kinda weird, but I guess it was suppose to be artistic), and she was hilarious, what a great speaker.

Then we had our class representative, she was also a great speaker, she has done a lot in 4 years, kinda made me feel like I have missed out on a lot, because I had to have a job during University, but oh well, we all have to make those choices right!

Then finally, we had Dr. Roberta Bondar speak, who was a former graduate from Guelph and of course the first women to be in space, amongst thousands of other accomplishments, she was great, she told us about her time her at guelph, when it first openned, and starting off pursuing vet medicine and then switching to OAC (agriculture), and just kinda where life took her, from finally getting her medical degree in neurology from Western, she was just fabulous. She showed all of this amazing pictures from space, and what the world looks like, what a hurricane looks like from up there, she discussed her research concerning the effects of space travel on astronauts...it was soooo good!!

Overall, it was great I am really glad I went, even though I was feeling not so fabulous when I left, and I even made home just before the rain began!! wowohoo!

hmm orange juice

Hey all, just drinking my orange juice before class and I thought I should post, since I didn't get a chance too on the weekend! Friday was sorta a write-off for me, I finished my assignment at the library, but I was feeling sooo horrible, I woke up with a bad headache and a really sore neck, I dunno what I did, I have a feeling it was because my fan was on while I was sleeping, and it was enough of a draft to stiffen it up!! I was in some huge pain -- well I got home from the library around 4:15ish, and just sat in bed for the next 3 hours -- thats how not well I was - but it was alright, I chatted with my mom on the phone for a good hour and then watched some tv -- and got some notes finally finished up!!

Saturday I was good got up -went to straight to the library I fixed my assignment and sent it off -- tried the bonus assignment, but it was about access, I just could not figure it out, I have never used that program so I had no idea what I was doing -- so after an hour or sooo I gave up! Then I began researching for my paper on bullying, which went okay I have a whole bunch of articles to print off today, but I still haven't decided what I am arguing so there may be another trip to the library in my near future!
I got home around 4:30, I was going to go and rent a movie to watch that night, but it was starting to rain, and I didn't feel like walking in it, or waiting for a bus, so I came home, made some dinner and then began working on notes -- then to my surprise RJ called from work and said that he was interested in maybe comming up.....which was great, cuz I love to see him.....so he did - even though he had to get up at 6:30am sunday morning to leave again for work, he still came over ahhhh soooo sweet!!

Sunday was good, went for breakfast with the folks, had the buffet, kinda made me feel sick later, but all is well now -- tonight I am going to this "last lecture' presentation is suppose to help us reflect upon our last week of classes before we graduate -- so ya good times, its only an hour from 6-7pm so hopefully its fun!!

BUt anyways I gotta get ready for class, so I will chat later -- hope everyone had a great weekend!

studying is going horrible

hey All,
Sorry today will be a short post, today I am studying for my last midterm ever (well I hope that is hehe), its not going well! I hate this class, it's a third year sociology course, entitled INdividual and Society, I thought it was suppose to be easy -- and kinda a bird course but oh no, its has been really difficult, the information is alright to understand, but trying to explain it or answer questions on a test about it, just throws me -- and I only got 77% of the first midterm, which was worth 40% of mark, as is tomorrows midterm, which is a horrible amount !! and then there is 20% worth for the 3 assignments, which is great, because I have rocked the assignments, but I am telling you I am not feeling confident about this test at all -- I mean last time I could blame it on the fact that I had 3 midterms in a row, whereas today I have all day to study, yet still feel like I have accomplished nothing errrrrrrrr!!

Well thats all for today.......not much else going on really -- staying in horrible guelph this again because I have soo much research to do for my next paper due in two weeks -- so ya that pretty much it

And my weekend turned out fabulous

Well after having a not soooo great week, my Friday, Saturday and Sunday got much better.......well actually the good luck started Thursday afternoon, after my very rude rant about the U of G library, I went in and I explained that I didn't realize that these books were due in 3 days, the girl told me when I checked them out that they were all due back on the 24th, so that is what I assumed, after the rude lady at the counter checked the books and told me that they were 3-day books, she spoke to the other nice lady at the counter, who told me that the old system use to tell them, when they were 3-days because it would flash, now it doesn't......so she took the fine off woohoooo ----ahhh 30 dollars back to moi!! the other mean lady then asked if I wanted to ruin them, and I said sure if I could - to which she said yes (very rudely), and then she told me that from now on I should check the slips even if they are put into one book.....so I said thank u really loud and walked away -- like crap lady what are you the book police, I made a mistake, it has been resolved ya know, no need to be rude now!! man some ppl!!

So then my night class was great we had a really funny Judge come in and speak, he was great -- told us how he feels about marijuana charges, and how useless they are, and how he loves to shout at the prosecutors when they have crappy charges in his court room, it was great....I was like if I get in trouble for anything, man I hope I see this guy infront of me hehehe!! And then we got out early, I was home by 9pm, which was great! cuz I could watch both CSI's before 3rd watch came on woohoo!! And of course I could talk to RJ more hahah!!

My Friday was kinda boring, but I did accomplish a lot -- I cleaned and I cleaned -- my entire room...which was good got rid of a lot of my extra energy......and then washed everything in the bathroom and the shower room........I did the hugely amounting dishes in the kitchen even though I said I was not going to -- it had to be done, by child of a roommate made some kinda tuna pasta dish and it was starting to smell horrible down there -- it almost made me cough when I walked in the door it was that bad -- so ya I did that, and I swept down stairs - I was gonna wash the floors but eh -- I have three more weeks with these horribly messy ppl, so its gonna be a waste ya know!!

And that night I found out that RJ could come up on Saturday because Parson had made a mistake about his b-day party date woohoo......that was fabulous news -- and since RJ's mom's plans to exchange the couch one more time fell through (she can't keep plans to save her life lately), he came up right after he finished work at the hotel Saturday morning, so I spent all day with him -- well we did kinda sleep/nap until 2pm is that afternoon, but still he was beside me hahah!! We then went to the Library so I could get a couple more books for my paper - and I could show RJ my powerpoint presentation -- which of course caused my disk to go mental and stop working so kinda got mad and threw the disk and sorta scared RJ, but he got it working again, so all was well after that! We then went Pizza Hut for dinner which was really good, really expensive, but really good - we even had the cinna-bun thingy they have which was fantastic!
We rented -- Party Monster and Matchstick Men -- Party Monster was alright, they just kinda made the bigging of the movie really stupid and annoying, which sorta set the stage for the rest of the movie -- but in the end it was okay -- my then again I love crime/murder stores, especially when they are based on true stories, becaue I am were like that ..........but Matchstick Men was great -- oh my -- it was soo well done, and lately I have little patience for Nick Cage, but he was really great in this....and the story really has you guessing, so ya rent it -- I think you will enjoy!!

Sunday - was good, I woke up a lot earlier then planned -- 9am, since I couldn't fall asleep at all the night before I have had a lot of trouble falling asleep lately its been really bad - and then I wake up really early with like 4 hrs of sleep -- but I am not tired, I dunno I think its just the stress of everything ---- school work, graduating, finding a job everything its crazzy!! But anyways --- my parents and I went out to lunch and that was great, we dropped of the movies from last night and then we went to order my graduation ring from the bookstore -- its really nice, very different from my HS ring which was what I wanted -- so I can't wait to get in it in 6-8 weeks!! hehehe We also picked out which grad photo packages we wanted.....so we are gonna send those in next week.......they are soo expensive, but then I again I don't plan on doing this every again ya know hehehe!!

So that was my weekend in a nutshell - now I am working on my paper which is not going well, which is why I decided to blog -- because my brain has begun to stop functioning, but I have a few more points to sketch out and then I can go to bed and write the paper tomorrow night wowohoo -- and then thats out of the way!!

Its gonna be a busy week ........ but I will try and post some more tomorrow! If not definitely wednesday when I will be studying for my last midterm!!

stupid u of g

Hey all,
Sorry for the no post yesterday since Wednesday is my big posting day -- but I was in the library from like 9am until 3:30 it was sick -- I was working on this powerpoint presentation....and it was taking me forever to finish errrr!!! I still have a few things to add to it -- it just the stupid requirements that made it so difficult, apparently having this master slide thing makes everything easier, but I completely disagree it took me a good hour just to figure that out -- ya know!! BUT anyways its almost done and thats all that matters whooho -- this is the last assignment for the class, there is a bonus Access one, but I have looked at it, I do not understand it for the life of me....its soooo horrible -- so I dunno I haven't really decided if I am gonna finish it or not --- I mean I would enjoy the extra 5 % on my final -- because it all helps in the end heheh!

Soooo today I checked my email -- and to my surprise I have an overdue fine at the library, apparently there are two books due -- well I took all of these books out on the same day and the rest are not due until the 24th, so hello I assumed they all were - but no !! Apparently these two were due on the 13th, and now its 3 dollars a day per book fines, so they email me today, because the fine is up to 30 dollars -- can you fucking believe that ---- are they not suppose to be educating people here, not taking every last freaking cent that they own -- gooodness I am sooo pissed off today!!
So ya don't come to the University of Guelph they suck!!!

Oh well I will pay the stupid fine, and tell them to screw off......errrr......so ya that pretty much sums up my week.....my weekend was better except for the fact that my boss screwed up my hours, so we had to move my dad's b-day dinner to friday instead of saturday night -- i swear I can not wait until I leave that shit whole, everyone hates being there, its just getting so bad.........ahhhh criminal justice system here I come!!

So ya my week has not been great, but hopefully it will get better next week -- I have faith.......well I will post some more tomorrow -- there will be losts of post this weekend -- since RJ can't come up this weekend, I will be supppper bored -- toodles

time to type!!!

Well I am bad, I forgot to write about my weekend.........sorry I have been busy typing notes for this stupid computer course of mine, because we have like 15 chapters to know for the final, so I thought I had better get a start on them now!!

well last weekend, lets see RJ came up Friday morning, so we had a whole bunch of running around to do -- first we had to go to the clinic beacuse his ear was bugging him, and he thought he had an ear infection beginning -- so we got there right when they openned woohooo -- but the doctor did nothing, as per usual!! hmph....but we got some drops to hopefully avoid the infection from getting worst!

We then went to the library to take a look at my web page assignment, we were working for about 2 hours and then we got hungry so it was time for lunch, we went to Creelman (big food court on campus) - we both quesdillias (spelling sorry), which were really good -- I never go there because its so expensive, but we decided to splurge hehe! We went to the bookstore too look at some graduation rings for me, and the girl was not really that helpful, but I got a pamphlet, and price listings, so that was cool. Then we went to the mall, because I had to pick up some cleaning stuff, then finally we got to the grocery and movie stores......RJ was starting to fade by then - so we had to head home......I medicated his ear and then he fell alseep....I watched some tv and did some reading and notes, however very little, I was kinda sleepy myself haha.

RJ was in and out of sleep until about 9pm that night.....I thought he needed the sleep so I didn't wake him up....but then we felt it was kinda late to make pizza for dinner, so we headed out to McDonalds hehehhe, very bad .....but it was really good yummy.....so I think it was a good choice! Then we watched 13 -- only lord if you haven't seen this movie, rented it with caution, man 13 year olds have gotten crazzy because I don't remember anyone of my friends doing this kinda stuff - crazzy -- but still a really good movie!! I think we rented another movie, but I can't remember now?? hmmmmm I will get back to you on that one!!

Saturday was a great day well sorta -- we got the library around 12:30 or so, we had a little lunch first, then we began the work on my webpage -- everything went really well, it just took a long while to get everything loaded up on the page and working perfectly -- also the teacher had really stupid requirements like a table and really stupid links for no reason ya know......anyways......we finally got it all done -- around 5pm or so, so ya we were in the library a long time ....but RJ makes me laugh so I never really noticed how long we were there! We kinda had a good time sitting infront of these computers for hours on end heheh!!

Right after we drove to Rogers and rented the School of Rock and Duplex-- both were excellent, both were hilariously funny.....good times.....so ya thats what we did made some pizza and watched some movies woohoo and I think an Angel episode and I showed RJ -- Sue freaking out on Survivor last week........ya know I probably would have been upset too if any part of Richard Hack touched me, but freak out when it happens, not like two days later my goodness -- and I think her husband is gonna be more angry about her blowing the million bucks -- but thats just me ya know!! hehe

Sunday - i had breakfast with the folks, and then I did a whole lotta reading and finished some other work off.....good times! I can't wait until this is all over, even though its beginning to get a little scary ..... :)

Anyways, that was my weekend ........I will blog somemore a little later !!

Hey All,
Well there really isn't too much new in the 24 hours ago that I posted -- but that never stops me from having something to say hehehe!!

I realized I never blogged about this issue and it came up about two weeks ago -- First, I will give a little background to set it all up -- after we all left highschool, Erika, Tracy, Nancy and I were all really great friends, I mean every second that I was home we were together some way some how, whether it was just going to see movies, or just hanging out a TImmy's (who knows why, but thats what we did) -- the four of us were completely inseparable, I mean always had other friends, like the boys, but no matter what, we were a unit of four. Well we hit about two years ago, and things began to change, we all sorta started doing different things, and just generally started to get on each others nerves, which was when RJ and I started seeing each other as more then just friends (as corney as it sounds), we were together for about 2 months -- when all 'shit' hit the fan, Nancy freaked out and decided that I could no longer be her best-friend because RJ was now my bestfriend......so there was this huge argument -- new years that year was ruined, I mean we all put on good faces, but ya know, the tension was there....I mean for a good year, I think both sides tried to patch things up, but it was not going to work, I mean I have let go of that part --- when I am at my sadest of course I always re-question, and re-question whether or not I did enough to get the friendship back, but I think I did -- we went to a cottage when them for a weekend, I mean it was alright but still not the same, and I don't think we could go on pretending it was ------- so anyways long story short Nancy and I have talked in almost a year and a half now, which of course includes Erika and Tracy because even though we have our occaision chats, I always feel like I am making them choose, and in a sense they did choose, and they chose her (if there a choice to make I guess) -- so anyways, about two weeks ago, Erika emailed everyone and said that she was combining her birthday celebration with Nancy and Kim (Nancy's friend from work, my replacement as RIch refers to her hehehe)......so after a few days of driving RJ crazy with whether or not I should even respond I did -- and pretty much said since two of the three hosts probably don't want me there, and I would rather have my feet chopped off then be in a room with Nancy, I think I will pass --- and what does Erika respond to that -- well they know I am inviting you guys and its not like you guys talk anymore.......well ya, thats the point, why go, if I am gonna be ignored, by most of the people there. I told her I would get back to her, but I am pretty sure I am never gonna be okay with hanging out with Nancy again, so why bother -- she hurt me way too much to just forget about it.......I feel bad for what has happened to Erika, Tracy and myself, but I think too much time has passed to make up for it now, as sad as that is its true. It's hard to handle sometimes, because truly I look around myself sometimes and realize that I have no real close girl friends, ya know I have a few, but most are just causal friends that I would see at a party or on the street ya know, never really people that i know much about or really know anything about me -- but those moments pass and I move on ya know!!!

Anyways moving on..........I am still feeling horrible, thats probably why I am all emotional and talking about my lack of friends today -- I finally have most of my voice back though.....woohoo.....but now I have a bad cough yick, and I keep going hot and cold, which really sucks......I hope this is all done with by Friday because RJ is coming over to help me with my webpage assignment for class and he can actually stay until late Saturday until he has tooo work so it should be a good two days!!!

My Dad's b-day is a March 13th, so I gotta get him a gift this weekend, I am still debating, all he ever wants is music gift certificates, so he can torture us in his car, by playing Elvis all the time.....he loves having his new cd player in his car....so I dunno I am still debating on what to get him?? Maybe a gift certificate and some liquor you can never go wrong with liquor and my dad heheh!!

Hmm not too much else new as of the moment.........I will discuss my rude rommates later...too much complaining for the last 15 minutes, I will get into this a little later !! hmph heheh!!

Sorry all, last week was a busy week, there was just no time to blog -- I had three midterms all piled up in the middle of the week, and it was the first week back from reading week, so my brain was still only partially functioning -- not good!

Two of the midterms went alright....the last one I get back on Thursday, and I have a feeling I did horribly, the information was just not making sense to me, and I know the exam didn't go well at all, so needless to say I am not looking forward to this Thursday at all!!

Umm the weekend, well I had to come home because my mom feel Thursday while walking Raider -- because apparently Mississauga is too poor to clean of the sidewalks, in poor old Clarkson, I swear its soo ridiculous that our sidewalks are left the way they are they are covered in ice, and snow for months, stop building fucking liquor stores and grocery stores and then maybe we could afford to have snow removal, like the rest of the world..........anyways my little rant is done -- so Rich was having a party on Friday, so I convinced RJ to pick me up Friday afternoon, so I could go, and then I would go home Saturday morning and help my mom out with the laundry, shopping and cleaning stuff -- since we still don't have a dryer, we have to lugg everything over to laundry mat, which is just by price chopper so its not tooo horrible, but still a pain in the ass!!

so while my mom was at the laundry mat, my dad and I went grocery shopping, which was alright, just is my dad doesn't know where anything is, I mean I never go to Dominon, so I shouldn't know where we are going, but he goes at least once a week, yet still he was lost -- crazzy crazzy -- then as we were leaving, my dad got the green light to go, so we moved forward however there was this car coming from the left, doing about 80 km/h at least, so this guy swurved and just barely missed us, it was unbelievable, I am tell ya, had he have hit my dad's car, my dad probably would have been killed thats how fast he was going, my lord, scarry stuff, we were both kinda shaky for the rest of the day!

After we finished all the shopping, we went to Price Chopper to get a few sales stuff, and then my dad waited for my mom to call and say she was all done, which was around 4:30ish, so I pretty much watched some movies and played with the Raider until RJ was finished work at 8:30, we decided to just get some taco bell for dinner and then rent some movies, so we rented Pieces of April, which I really enjoyed, however RJ hated it, and then we watched the CSI that we both missed on THursday, which was really good, and then I think we watched Cheaters, cuz that show is hilarious, around 1 am RJ took me home because he had to work at 8am, and I had to be up for Church at 9am.....

Sunday I went to Church with my dad, and then he had some lunch, and he went to bingo bc the jackpot was 10 thousand dollars, but he didn't win, so we left for Guelph around 3:30ish, and we stopped to get me a sub for dinner yummy.....once I got home I started studying for my quiz, which was due that night, finally took it around 10pm, 90% whoo -- but I was a little distracted by the Oscars, which were really good this year - - although I wanted Bill Murray to win best actor, I mean I am sure Sean Penn was great in all (haven't seen the movie yet), but I dunno when is Bill Murray ever gonna be nominated again, I mean this was his movie ya know -- but oh well!!

So ya that was my weekend.......today I woke up really sick, last night I was feeling horrible, but I thought it would pass, but oh no........now I don't have voice at all...and my head is very sore, but I only have one class today at 4pm, so thats good!!

I will write some more tomorrow, since I can't talk might as well type right!!
