its late, but I am awake :)

Hello All,

Once again a long time inbetween posts, but I am still here. Hmmm on to whats been new! Not a lot of information to really share, but two weekends ago RJ and I attended his family reunion up in Sudbury. We left a lot latter on Friday then RJ had originally planned, because he was borrowing his dad's car and he was at work that morning, so he ran into some troubles, which caused him to still be working at like 2pm, and we were suppose to be on the road by 1pm. But it all worked out, RJ picked me up around 3:15ish, and then we did some fast shopping for munchies at Price Chopper, and then we were off. We made some great time because RJ's dad allowed us to use the 407 ( I think thats the number - I am so not a driver)-- anyways the highway you pay for....so we made up about an hour, since the traffic on the 401 looked horrible at that time of day....so we had great conversation all the way up to Sudbury, we stopped for some McDonalds for dinner, which tasted even better then usually, I think it was because we were starving by this point. We finally arrived at the hotel at 8:30 or 9:00pm -- we had a great room, granted on the 6th floor which was a pain because the pool is in the basement, but oh well it was still lovely. We wondered around the hotel for awhile and then decided to go swimming, but when we got down there it was packed with kids. And when I say packed I mean like 10 of them - I mean there was room to swim, but none of the parents were going in, so it was just weird, we decided to leave and just watch some tv -- besides RJ was super tired at this point, since we worked the night before and he hadn't really slept at all yet -- so ya I made RJ suffer through some cooking shows, which was great heheh and then fell asleep, probably the earliest either of us have been in bed on a Friday night in years hehe -- we were both out by 12:30 hahahha :)

Umm next morning we went for a swim -- we were suppose to get up at 9:30 but that didn't happen, well actually RJ did get up and ran to the store for some juice and some more sandwich meat -- so I was the lazy bum and stayed in bed until 10 -- but I was watching some weird cartoons that were on -- then we got moving and went for a quick swim. We had some lunch when we got back to the room because we were unsure when we would be eating at the reunion. We left the hotel around 1, we were on the way to RJ's uncle's cottage (well that an understatement, its a home, its better then my home and its their summer house, it is absolutely gorgeous). The cottage is sooooo hidden, that I think we traveled for like 20 mins through tons of hills to get to it, but it was well worth it -- When we arrived, everyone was still out and about, the guys went golfing, the younger cousins were taken to site seeing things in sudbury, so we were just chilling until everyone got back! It was great everyone was super nice, so that made it even better. The lake was perfect, RJ and I went paddle boating for probably over an hour, I was sooooooo sunburned, but I didn't even realize until later -- we swam in the water for awhile as well, and relaxed on this floating thingy in the water -- which I struggled to even get on -- see you have to go under the water to get to the hole in the center of the tube to get in it, well I am kinda afraid when I can't see through the water -- but after a little encouragement I did it!! It was great fun though once I was up there!!

Dinner was finally served and we were all starving, I ate like an animal, I tell ya, I had 2 burgers and potatoe salad and tons of other things, these great beans that were sooooo sweet, they were amazing, man I am making myself hungry -- so ya the evening was great fun, RJ's dad and Linda tried to teach us this card game, which the name escapes me right now.........RJ understands it now, but I am still lacking behind, so hopefully RJ can re-explain before we see them again :(

So ya the weekend was great -- until we left on Sunday, RJ and I made some great time, we decided to leave a little earlier - just stopped to get some pop and we were off --- but on the highway we met stand still traffic, we were in it from 1:30 until 6pm....it was insanity, thank god for air conditioning because my horrible burn was killing me, and with out the air conditioning I think I would have died. I mean it was soo bad at one point, RJ got out of the car and had time to go pee, and walk back to the car and we did not budge an inch it was madness!! THe only great thing was that RJ 's parents then met us in Barrie and we had dinner, which wasn't that great, but it was better then sitting in the car -- granted I could barely walk at this point, because the burn covered the front portion of my legs, so when I tried to bend it - my legs would kill me.... so I hobbled around, it was sooooooo sad --- but we finally made it home -- I kinda told a fib to my parents and said we would not be home until Monday afternoon, so I could stay at RJ's for one night, because they are sorta anal about that kinda stuff ya know!! So all and all it was a great weekend -- we have cool pictures too as well!!
