a very long two weeks
Hey everyone,
My very long stint of two and a half week cash office manager job will finally be coming to an end this Thursday whoohow -- my manager is back --- I could not be more happier, well the money has been good, I can't really discount that, but for all the heartache and anger I dunno if the extra cash has been worth it. First, dealing with the day to day of customers complaining directly to me for missing sale items, crappy produce and other general problems with the store is just draining, I feel like I run from problem to the next and pretty much explaining the same thing over and over again only to different ppl.
Second, dealing with the nasty, bitchy staff that we have at the front-end (all the cashiers), I tell ya these two and a half weeks would not have been even close to as bad, if it were not for most of the cashiers that we have. The one girl freaks out at the first schedule that I made because I put her in for a 9-2 shift, because her note had said that she could only work an early morning shift, hello 9-2 is early, umm 4-8:30 is not, so ya she freaks out, getting angry at other cashiers that have it booked off, saying that she is going to quit, this is from someone who is still in school, has a very young child, so she books off at least 3-4 days a week, why have the job, find something else then, if you need to book off all this time. Anyways it got worked out, but needless to say I can't even stand to be around her, she keeps telling RJ that I am grumpy or being cold, ya hmmm I wonder why you just tore my head off. And it took me over an hour to make that schedule, so ya f-off!!!
FInally, my last complaint of the week is being responsible for everything, I can handle being responsible when I am there, handing issues myself, but, if there is problem I get 8 million phone calls about it. The deposit is off 300 dollars or the change drawer is out by 50 dollars. I mean don't get me wrong, I have no problem helping ppl out, its just been a lot these past weeks. I don't know how my manager handles it. But then again they treat her a lot different then they have me.
Other then that, things have been good, RJ's b-day was great (except for that nasty co-worker yelling at me about the schedule infront of everyone, but oh well). I hope everyone had a great time, I know RJ did, he doesnt really remember getting home, which is always the sign of a great time. We went to Lins b-day bbq, well funny story, RJ and I showed up a day early, because I had written the dates down wrong, I thought it was changed from Thursday to Wednesday heheh opps .... so we went both days her actual b-day and the bbq day tee hee. It was great though, really good food, lots of chatter good times. I think my b-day is next, but I am hiding out, RJ and I are just doing something small like go out of dinner or something. I have decided not to acknowledge 25 until I have the full-time job that I want yep thats what I decided hmph. Tee Hhee.
Anyways should run, its really hot upstairs, gotta get back to the air conditioned living room, darn energy saving parents hehehe
later
liz :)
